COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As a touring musician I've always stayed in hotels, which are so impersonal and lonely (not to mention expensive). This last tour I did, the other songwriter I toured with set us up with homestays nearly the whole tour and it was awesome. It was so much better than staying in some bland hotel somewhere. I made lots of new friends and feel like I really learned a bit about the soul of each city we toured in. I heard about this site through my friend Gabriel Mann, who toured all through Europe with Alanis Morissette last summer... he used couchsurfing.com for the whole tour and raved about all the friends he met and how cool it was. So there you have it, and here I am. : )
