About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Explore -- to paint it with a very broad brush.

Explore places.
Explore cultures.

In reality you are simply exploring the inner you. I believe that almost everyone and everything has something to offer for you to learn.

ABOUT ME

The things that enrich my soul are nature, travel, music and good company. The last item, not easy to find and what better way than CS community.

Just the mere image of the outdoors and nature puts a smile on my face. I enjoy things that involve physical activity. Travel is something I look forward to and there is a thrill in seeing new places and experiencing new cultures. A backpack and the whole wide world is all one needs.

Absolutely love reading. One of the best ways to expand one's horizons and imagination.

The intellectual curiosity to question why and how, easily pull me in and have me lost in the details. :).

Grew up in Bengaluru, India and I consider it to be one best cities in the world. :). Now working in the automotive industry. I've enjoyed the experience thus far and looking forward for more memorable experiences.

PHILOSOPHY

Live, travel, read, explore...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Meetings and social gatherings. Would like to host and be hosted in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

They have mostly been positive. Started with some social gatherings in and around Atlanta -- parties, St. Paddy's Day celebrations in Savannah etc -- have been amazing.

Moving on to Detroit, the city has a wonderful CS community.

Most importantly, experiencing new places through this awesome community and travel is my goal.

Interests

Outdoors, sports, reading, movies, racing.

A big sports fan -- played a variety of sports and would put anything on the sports channel. You know the one guy in a group shouting orders at the TV...that's me. Watch and would like to take part in anything from curling to racing.

Reading -- something that I find absolutely refreshing. Try and make it a point to read everyday.

Music - elevates you.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Electronic, Pink Floyd, Guns N' Roses, Eminem. Enjoy all kinds of music. Discovering classical music and also classical fusion.

Books: Many Masters, Many Lives, Crime and Punishment, Anna Karenina, Paulo Coelho, Khaled Hosseini, Dan Brown, Jeffery Archer, John Grisham.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Skydiving: Done.
Fast bike rides: Done. Let's just say it is relative.
Hiking the Grand Canyon: Done.
Rafting: Done.
Hike a volcano: Done.

Would like to keep updating this list.
