Endless curiosity and insatiable wanderlust creates an adventurer that loves new horizons, the taste of foreign cultures and new experiences. Drawn to open minded creative people fearlessly driven towards living their aspirations, I have befriended the beautiful side of humanity. I grew up in North America, I left home in my teens eager for adventures and deeper understandings, I hitch-hiked all over Europe and North Africa, sleeping under bridges, in old monasteries and with Berber tribes. The vastness of inner and outer worlds became my teacher, the world my home. Unravelling my relationship to the cosmos and the invisible realms prompted me to explore many avenues of inquiry.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is to accept people where they are, to know we are all doing the best we can with what we have to work with, to recognize that the universe creates the perfect opportunities for us to liberate our selves through all we attract. Though the world of recreational drugs and alcohol is pervasive, I have chosen to not use them, wanting to find the way home independent of any crutches.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

For many years I ran a sanctuary in Peru for mystical travellers working with the master plant medicines in Peru. Not a hostel, but a revolving, evolving international community of both long and short term visitors, striving to live from the heart with integrity, developing respect for our selves, each other, local culture, the environment and the earth. I was dedicated to create a safe and sacred space for these intense inner explorations and integrating the teachings of the plant medicines. I learned how to help people cleanse body and soul deeply with various plants, especially tobacco and frog venom. Then after seven years, went deeper into the mountains among the indigenous folk and worked soley with prana, life force, fasting and silence. Several joined me for a year of deep transformation.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Though it was not connected to couch surfing, there was always room for everyone, I never turned anyone away. Sometimes we were so full there were people sleeping in tents, sleeping on my kitchen floor on my living room couch. Everyone helped with cooking, cleaning and gardening, some helped more in exchange for a sleeping space.

Interests

I am interested in inner and outer freedom, for all beings. I participate in ecological practices, sustainability. I love the arts which come from an authentic and innocent expression from the core. I am interested in self healing of the body, of living solely on light (LOVE) not needing to ingest dense foods. I am interested in really unravelling the rules of this game we are in and developing full potential as a creator.

Music, Movies, and Books

The kinds of films I like are usually foreign, about transformation, like the Secret of Roan Innish, I like novels also with the theme of transformation, for example, The Rosie Project, and historical novels like the Persian Prince, The Horus Trail. I am working with Michael Brown's “The Presence Process,” a self directed ten week course which assists breaking free from the illusion of time. It is awesome. I collect music from around the world which is considered sacred in that the frequencies generate wholeness, holiness, solffeggio frequencies, ancient chants from India, from Christians, from Shipibo medicine healers in the Amazon. I never listen to “popular” music as it makes me feel unwell. I am opened by music in which the beats, the tones the messages support what I AM.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I gave birth TWICE! Amazing. I assisted seven births, nearly as amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I teach informally, inadvertently. I share what I love for example, I share with peope about the Agni Hotra fire ceremony which is purifying and neutralizes radiation, I teach the Tibetan Rites, various yogas and pranayamas, I gently remind people to examine their beliefs and especially their projections which keep them imprisoned in suffering, I teach about eating simple whole foods, I am an excellent creative cook, I make the best chocolate in the world. I teach how to lay low and take life easy, move with the silent inner rhythms, self acceptance and self love, I teach how to make intimate connections with others without the use of drugs or alcohol.

I want to learn more about quantum physics, the true nature of “reality”. I LOVE being around people who have some mastery in the arts of living in the presence, of living from the heart, of living on light. I have met people who did not eat or drink for years, who switched on their bodies natural ability to live soley on prana, life energy, mana, there are many names for this all pervasive living field of energy available to us all. I want to do that too. I would like to learn to be able to communicate with all life forms, telepathically and also how to switch on my brain to be able to speak many languages and to "see" with the inner eyes. And if it is not too much to ask, I would like to learn to sing well, use my voice in a powerful and uplifting way, and perhaps even to play a stringed or wind instrument.

What I Can Share with Hosts

While hosting many different people at the retreat "el molle", over the years I noticed an interesting phenomenon. Each person emanated a unique quality, or frequency. And as people came together, each "constellation" formed a new and also unique frequency. These vibrational patterns danced and coalesced in myriad ways of beauty weaving filaments of communion and unity consciousness. I see CS as a vehicle for this evolving tapestry. So all is an interchange of giving and receiving in ways beyond ordinary awareness. And on a practical level, I love cooking together, giving neck massages, sharing stories and practical information to do with well being. I am a very good listener and holder of space for the Being.
