Overview
About Me
We are Maisie (25) and Errol (23), a friendly couple from Adelaide, South Australia. In 2016 we traveled South East Asia and South America for 6 months and caught the traveling bug. We have spent the last year saving up at home to travel around the world again. At home, Errol works in hospitality as a waiter and Maisie works in TV/Film production. We are both a bit obsessed with food, wine and also coffee (being from Australia I suppose this isn't a surprise). We also love to meet new people.
We're currently in the Europe road tripping in our Mini! We're in Germany at the moment.
We are travelling together so this is our joint profile.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We’ve been travelling for almost a year now and we’ve found that with our current style of travel (road trip and camping) we don’t tend to meet as many people as you might staying in hostels etc. We thought couch surfing might be a great way to remedy this as we are always searching for the more local side of cities/places rather than just seeing things from the tourists perspective. We are always interested to try new things and learn about peoples history/culture/cuisine etc. We thought Couchsurfing might be the way to do this? Hope so! We look forward to meeting you.

The good place, parks and recreation etc. Please like me, Episodes).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wild camped on top of a hill outside Toledo, Spain with a view of the city at sunrise.
Hiked into the Pyrenees for 3 days and camped in the snow at minus 5 degrees.
Started a small rebellion in a Vietnamese english language school due to unethical practises.
Ate at the 5th best restaurant in the WORLD in Lima, Peru, it's called Central and it had 18 courses with 50% of ingredients being undiscovered (so local plants and flowers from Peru!).
Navigated our way across South America by bus having learnt 0 spanish before we arrived but by the end of the 3 months we could 'almost' hold a conversation!
Teach, Learn, Share
I can’t presume to be able to teach much as I’m always learning more myself but I’m always happy to share tips of budget travel, places to go.
Maisie and I love food/cooking and learning everything about it. Maisie is a vegetarian and a Coeliac (allergy to all things gluten, boo!) but I eat everything so don’t worry you will have someone very eager to try all your local dishes and Maisie is always interested to look and see even if she can’t eat it!!!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hopefully some stimulating conversation. We are both native english speakers so we're happy to help you practise. We love food and cooking so we would love to share with you some of our favourite meals. We've been travelling a lot lately and on a really tight budget so we're always happy to share any tips we have for places to go, things to see and free or cheap activities along the way!! We look forward to meeting you :D
