About Me

I sacredly believe that the only true thing in life is travelling. Let me get the point. Most of the people after birth are stuck to their place, city, and country. And the life given to us is extremely short. Memories are almost the only thing, that can't be taken from us. The more we travel, the more you see other cultures, people, the more we would be satisfied on our deathbed. Life's beautiful and we need to feel it by ourselves.

From the early childhood after punching random keys on an old b/w computer, I was always an IT enthusiast which leads to who I'm now.

The brief list of interests can be found below, so here are some quick facts about me. I'm a: cat lover, photo taker, national meal taster, car driver, and atheist. I assume this list to be expanded in the future.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

There’s so much fun and possibilities meeting new people, so that's why I'm here. Travelling around the world you can dig deeply into culture and traditions to understand the way of people's living, their thoughts and even who they are.

I remember one night being in Ouarzazate, Morocco. Me in a company of my friend were wandering across a town and met a kid, who needed help in writing a letter to his American friend, who bought a carpet from his father's store. So we were invited to his house where he showed us photos of camelcades and regaled with true Moroccan mint tea. That was incredible, I would remember it for ages.

Interests

Sometimes I assume myself having too many interests. Being an IT-guy, I often read geek articles instead of my core activity, but I hope it'll help me anyways. Rock music, photography, drones, kind of extreme sports, cars — this is not a full list of my interests.

Besides that I'm interested in politics and macroeconomics, but I definitely don't wanna talk about it, — it's more like just personal observations.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm deeply into punk music. Everything allied with this genre is within my sight: ska, hardcore, fast melodic and so on. There's a list of favorite bands here: http://www.last.fm/user/ERRORist_404/library .

Talking about movies, I consider drama to be my favorite genre. As you can see here: http://www.kinopoisk.ru/user/1036782/votes/ , drama movies lead rating charts both with views and votes.

Sad to realize there's still no personal chart for books. The worse thing is that I haven't so much time to read at the moment, but in past 10 years I read pretty much of Chuck Palahniuk, Irvine Welsh, Douglas Coupland and other contemporary counterculture prose. When I was a child, "The Lord of the Rings" by J. R. R. Tolkien left a lasting impression on me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Once I decided to plan a trip by myself.

Teach, Learn, Share

Being open minded is a key to achieving new information. You can learn it and share knowledge you already have.

Perhaps, nobody would like blurred talks about computer systems and IT industry in general, but I can share a practical IT, mostly computer, tip, hint or hack.

I also can give some practical advices in photography. A practice in Russian language can be a matter of course.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, Croatia, Egypt, Estonia, Italy, Malta, Montenegro, Morocco, Serbia, Spain, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
