Overview
About Me
I'm living in a nice little flat with my girlfriend Mathilde in Vincennes, near Paris and Vincennes Woods. I've only hosted a few people and been hosted a few times from this profile but I actually did much more with Mathilde from her profile (I can give her profile link by message if you want to check our reviews and profile!). I grew up near Clermont-Ferrand, in Auvergne, in the center of France. I studied musicology, performing art and cultural policy and now work in the jazz and improvised music sector, which is my passion. I'm also an amateur guitarist, very interesting in various kind of music, in cinema, board games and outdoor sports. Generally speaking, I'm curious and like to discover new interests.
I like travelling and, above all, meeting new people (or even friends) of course. I like understanding as deep as I can the way people live while I'm in their cities (abroad or in France!) or when I meet them in Paris. I think France is an interesting place to go, in Paris but also pretty much everywhere else, for different aspects. I hope we'll meet and have time to discuss about this!
I will be happy to host you in my place if I'm available and if you send me a nice message. If I ask you to host me it will be because I believe that we could have pleasant discussions (I often like to explore topics deeply hahaha!), maybe laugh together, and share some activities. I think I am easy to live and, at least, I try to. Also, I'm always motivated for doing pretty much anything.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think CS is a good way to travel (as well as hitchhiking, you can even combine! 😁). Discover a city with the experience of someone who live there is better by far in my opinion. I also like to meet people of course and already have made friends thanks to CS.
Interests
I love music, especially jazz. I am an amateur jazz guitarist myself and go to concert at least once a week in average (also because of my job). I'm always fond of discovering new albums other people like in various genre.
I'm also a big fan of cinema, but preferably author cinema. I love the filmography of Lars Von Trier above all but I have a few other directors that I follow and will be pleased to exchange about your favourite ones too.
I like sports and especially outdoor ones, like slack line, hiking, running. I also practice juggling. I used to play basketball for more than ten years but not anymore despite I still like it.
I like reading, especially social sciences and economy books.
I'm also fond of board games. My girlfriend and I have quite a lot of board games in our place and are members of a board game association in our city.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like different music genres but especially jazz. Some of contemporary artists I like : Chris Potter, Marc Turner, Adam Rogers, Julian Lage, Vijay Iyer, Dave Holland, Steve Lehman, Craig Taborn...
I mainly read social sciences (philosophy, musicology, history, sociology...) and economics books. I sometimes read novels or poems. For instance, I like novels from Boris Vian and Albert Camus, and poems from Aimé Cesaire very much.
I like author cinema. Some of my favourite contemporary directors : Lars Von Trier, Bertrand Mandico, Gaspard Noé, Bruno Dumont, Larry Clark, Harmony Korine.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Not that extraordinary but I did some hitchking road trips I can tell about.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A passionate discussion (or even debate eheh), a board game or a partner to run or hike.
I'm not very good at cooking but I'm a disciplined executant and very better at dishwashing! 😁
