About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy life, and share that joy!
ABOUT ME
I am always in a good mood, and tend to radiate that on other people. I try to be honest all the time, but that can also be a bad thing...
PHILOSOPHY
Hakuna matata: it really works!
All of your feelings are real and authentic. So are the feelings of others. Let them be.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I spent a great day with CS'ers from Madrid and from Toledo in this beautiful town. Later, I hosted six people during the Dutch Queens Day, that was awesome! Since then, I have been hosting people on a regular basis, and am expanding my surfing experience as well. Hungry for more CS!
Interests
Science: I have a PhD in physics, but don't do anything with it anymore in my job. Still, I follow scientifc news and have a scientific mind set. My current job is as a CTO in a startup company.
Dancing: I love lindy hop, a swing dance originating from early 20th century, and growing in popularity again.
Jazz music: My favorite type of music is jazz and blues, although I of course listen to other types: classical, pop, acoustic.
Spirituality: I meditate (almost) every morning for 20 minutes. This really helps me connect with my feelings. I like to talk about spirituality, but please no vague hocus pocus.

Music, Movies, and Books

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Summer student in Geneve, with 200+ international students at CERN ==> TOP!!
Teach, Learn, Share
What I can teach? I am a scientist, so I could teach math, physics and things like that. However, I do not talk too much science after working hours unless asked to do so.
What I want to learn? Anything that piques my interest. One day it is photography, another it is playing guitar, yet another day is speaking a foreign language. I just like to learn things in general. One thing that I always would like to learn, is nice recipes to cook at home. :-)
