About Me
Updated September 2019
Who am I? Well, I think this is a question that never gets old, or is ever quite fully answered, but I like most how how a friend once described me, "oh Eryn, he's a bit of wizard!"
Needless to say, I was a mighty big fan of Lord of the Rings growing up, and as a result, my enthusiasm for tales of adventure has only grown as I have!
But perhaps even more marvelous, is having said adventures yourself aye?!
I travel, mostly for the people. I love to think deep, to feel deep; to ponder the world, and this I find is best done with others. Time and again, when I meet someone with, apparently a very different view of life, I learn a great deal, especially when then there's a little passion on each side of the table!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Throwing yourself into the deep end is the best way to make new friends!
I love meeting inspiring people who really have the passion to follow, their most fabulous dreams, what better place to meet hey?!
Interests
"If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing"
I have great many interests, and they grow and change (quite dramatically I think!) as I do.
I have had at times a passion for gardening, at others, for theatre, or music, or cars or woodwork, or IT or philosophy.
I guess, without even knowing it, I've just often followed what challenges me.

Music, Movies, and Books
I guess I wouldn't so much say I like specific genres, it's all about the vibes! Which, in my case mostly means pretty chill and happy!
My favourite artist, is, hands down, Zoe Keating (cellist)
A few honourable mentions;
Tora, Tankenobu, Cat Empire, Babe Rainbow, Tash Sultana, Tullara, Marlon Williams, Trace Bundy.
As well as classics, like Queen, the Beatles and (some of) Eric Clapton.
I'm also quite a fan of classical
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived in a Community in Ireland working with people with disabilities and other co-workers, from all around the world.
Teach, Learn, Share
“A jack of all trades is a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one."
I can cook, possibly fix your IT problems, and generally give my opinion on things I don't probably know as much about as I'd like to think.
I'll learn anything you'd like to teach and I'll share in adventures big and small! I am as happy at home playing cards and sharing a meal together, as I am out climbing a mountain.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Ah! Well, I could probably talk the pants off just about anyone. Though i've been told this can cause spontaneous insanity so, I try not to do it to often.
I'll go hiking, walking or bike riding anytime!
I can play the Cello, cook experimental dishes with good old "whatever you've got" and I'm always up for a some singing together.
I cannot think of a moment I wouldn't be down for a chuckle! Im quite fond of 'Dad jokes' and Puns so I could share a couple (probably quite a lot tbh xx )
