Hi! I am a bicycle mechanic and youth worker in my beloved adoptive home of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Finding my path through this world; I haven't been traveling for a little while now but hope it is in my future again soon.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Traveling to new places is so much different and better when you can get to know people there and hear what people's lives are like. I've surfed a couple times through CS and have so much appreciated the generosity that people have shown me in sharing their homes, time and energy.

Interests

Being outdoors as much as possible: biking, hiking, digging in the dirt, etc. Also playing music and cooking with other people, and talking about things I'm passionate about - social justice, farming, and food.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Swimming in a glacial stream in Lugano, Switzerland - hopping back and forth between blazing sun and freezing cold water.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: cooking some yummy refried black beans, some English/German/Spanish, basics of accordion playing

Learn: If money were no factor, I would love to spend my time learning many more languages: American Sign Language, French, Arabic, Somali, Russian...if you can speak another language and want to teach me some words or phrases, I would be happy to learn them!
