About Me

Hi! I am Arif, from Turkey. I am living in Berlin for my Erasmus+ internship mobility program, and during this time I want to travel Europe.

I graduated from Ankara Yildirim Beyazit University with a management information systems bachelor's degree in June 2022, and now I am a project management assistant in the Comparative Research Network (CRN) in Berlin.

You can see my travel plan below. This is not a certain plan, I am still trying to work on it. I am excited for new experiences! Sooo, yeah, let's travel!  :)

Berlin -- Prag
Prag -- Vienna
Vienna -- Bratislava
Bratislava -- Budapest
Budapest -- Belgrad
Belgrad -- Sarajevo

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a student, and I don't have a big budget for my travel plan, but I want to travel Europe. So, that's why I'm on Couchsurfing.

I like to share my experiences, and ideas with other people. Couchsurfing is not just a home-sharing platform. Here is also a platform where we socialize, share our cultures, experiences, and ideas.
Also, I am trying to develop my English to a professional level, and Couchsurfing will help me with this issue. And when you come to Turkey, I can host you!

Final note, I don't smoke, so we can take a healthy breath together :D

Music, Movies, and Books

I like to listen to music, especially when I walk and when I work. My favorite Turkish song is "Tek Başına" by Erkin Koray. My favorite foreign song is "Don't Blame Me" by Taylor Swift.

My favorite series is "The Office." I really liked it, and I think it is the best comedy series I have ever seen. And lastly, my favorite movie is "Forrest Gump". I've seen Forrest Gump four times, and each time I think, "What an amazing movie!"
We can watch a movie or a series if you like comedy. Also, I can share my song list if you like to listen and discover new songs.

And the books... I really like to read a book. My favorite book is "Essays of Montaigne." I underlined hundreds of sentences. That was amazing, and I will read it again.

I am reading literary magazines every month. My favorite magazines are Kafa, Bavul, and Ot Dergi. There are a lot of interesting essays, and there are a lot of writers in these journals.
You can learn interesting information and broaden your viewpoint. Also, you can break down your prejudices by reading essays from various writers.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Attending the Erasmus+ program is one of the most amazing things I've done. I am in Berlin for my internship, and it's amazing and unforgettable! And I want to gain more experiences and make more memorable memories during my internship.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am an open-minded person, and I like to discover new experiences! Also, I can teach you basic Turkish and German! This can be very interesting and exciting for you!

I like to cook, and I can cook Turkish food for you when I visit your home, I also like to tour cities by walking. So we can walk together, and we can explore the city together! We can hang out and we can socialize together!
