About Me
** Can't host in my current living situation** I was born in Brussels to French parents, and lived there until I was 12. I then moved to the states where I lived and learned for 5 years. I have since been studying psychology in Canada and spent one exchange year in Puerto Rico. Now I'm starting new studies in France and for the first time living in the country of my passport! Back to the roots I guess :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to immerse myself in local culture with those closest to it. I want to feel what it's like to be a part of communities across the globe and open myself up to your traditions and opinions. I also want to continue meeting the most awesome, refreshing, open-minded and interesting people on couchsurfing!
Interests
Psychology, filmmaking, painting, sculpture, science, research, nutrition, alternative /off grid living, organic farming, culture, people, linguistics, holistic approaches to health......
My plan changes quite regularly...I wanted to combine my studies in psychology (maybe cross-cultural psychology) with nomadic travel. Now that I finished my psychology degree im starting new studies in osteopathy because I felt its something Ive wanted to try for more than 6 years. Solo travel actually helped me see it was something I wanted to do if i furthered myself from other peoples expectations.. so in a way travel is still an integrative part of my life :D probably there to stay
Music, Movies, and Books
Wow so much.. I dont even know how to classify a lot of the music i love but if i had to say i would tell you jazz reggae, salsa, cumbia, alternative and old school hip hop and many other things..... I also love to discover small bands or groups specific to a region or to culture even if i dont understand the language!
I love films, especially those who tend to differ from the (slightly) repetitive hollywood development :P
Hmm I've read a few books that were great but to be completely honest I have not been reading as much as i'd like
Avenue Des Geants, Idriss aberkane's liberez votre cerveau...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Bungee jumping and air gliding in France. It was a unique feeling and the first time I felt such an adrenaline rush! Next I want to skydive :)
Also another amazing thing (though less intense) was to decide to sign up for workaway and go to Poland, from there I met many awesome people who introduced me to hitchhiking and couchsurfing which I was then so glad to explore solo
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some yoga (sort of) some video editing if you're interested or help with English and French. I also hope to share awesome conversation and stories from travelling or other fun things. I hope to learn a lot while I travel and I'm very excited to find new things as I go!
What I Can Share with Hosts
My love of life! I'm positive and friendly (maybe a tad bit shy at first :P) but always happy to experience new things. I also love to cook and if its in the range of my abilities, I can help you with whatever you need help with :)
