About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To see the world! Oh, what a cliché. Okay, okay, I wanna start with seeing more of Europe. It's closeby, shouldn't be that hard.
ABOUT ME
I'm a 24 year old with a desperate want to see the world. I've been traveling since I was a baby (albeit more of an European traveller) and got my first taste of non-European cultures when I went to Asia few years back. And after my 11 weeks long adventure in the United States, I'm ready for more!
I can be rather shy at first but once I get to know someone, I'm very open. I have a wicked sense of humour but can participate in serious conversations too. Well, when the whim strikes me anyway!
PHILOSOPHY
I'd say it's to live your life like you want to. Don't let anyone else tell you what to do. Do whatever you want to do, but do right by others. And of course, buy a Mac cause you ain't living if you're working with anything else... (No, unfortunately I don't have shares with Apple.)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am participating in this program so we can meet new people in different countries and even continents. I am a firm believer that this project is a giant step in that direction.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Together with Nele, I surfed a few couches in the US and I loved them all! We had a blast and met some pretty darn cool people. And that's what it's all about, isn't? Having fun and meeting new people.
Interests
I'm a bit of a computer nerd (college: computer science) and do come with a Mac firmly attached to my hip. I love music and adore going to concerts or music gigs. A good live show and I am sold. Of course traveling is also a rather huge interest, and besides that I love meeting new people and having new and exciting experiences.

Music, Movies, and Books
I watch CSI (all three), Stargate, Grey's Anatomy, NCIS and is a major Friends freak. Besides that I also enjoy a lot of British humour shows. As for music, I listen to about anything really. I'm open to about anything.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My trip to Asia was one of the most amazing things of my life. The things I saw, what I ate, the cultures I experienced, the people I met - it was mindblowing.
The USA East Side trip was also great. I had my fair shares of setbacks, but what can you do when you're thousands of miles away from home? You take it in and move on, tomorrow's a next day. But we got through all the crap and saw some amazing things, met awesome people and had A LOT of fun.
Besides that, seeing my godson for the first time, mere hours after he was born, was probably THE most amazing thing I had ever seen.
Teach, Learn, Share
All I have is our European background and culture to share. Which I'm sure could be interesting at times...
