Hello:) I'm travelling through Europe!

I was born in Scotland and when I was 5 my family and I moved to the Netherlands. It's probably because of my upbringing that I feel more comfortable in international environments. I find people are more open and the cliché is really true; you learn so much about others and yourself. Right now I'm in a place in my life where I have some questions about where I'm going and other philosophical questions, like most people do. One of a few things I do know for certain is that I love to paint. This had led me to study Graphic Design so I can be creative at work and also explore the option of maybe one day becoming a digital nomad.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I prefer to make connections 1-on-1 or in smaller groups as opposed to big groups. I'm not shy, but I also don't like to draw attention to myself. In conversations with fewer people or one person I can get to know someone much better and I have so much more focus on them. That's why I want to try couchsurfing. However, I love the hostel vibe and that everyone is welcome and included. In my travels I will probably interchange hostels and couchsurfing just to mix it up. Also, it's so much more interesting to get to know a place through the eyes of a local. To introduce my own culture as well as learn a new one. I'm here to experience, learn and travel!

A while ago I made an online portfolio of some of my paintings. It has to be updated and my graphic design skills haven't kicked in yet so once they do, it'll look much better. I thought this might give better insight in my interest; painting.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite movies are the ones with things that you would never get to see in real life. I guess it would be officially sci-fi. The movies I'm talking about are Godzilla, King kong, movies where the world ends or where evil creatures take over the world. I also love A Quiet Place. And speaking of John Krasinski; The Office is my favourite show of all-time, hands down.

I'm not much of a book-reader. Once in a blue moon I'll read a book and enjoy it, but I prefer watching movies or listening to podcasts. I like all types of music, as long as I can dance to it. The only genre I'm not a fan of is Techno. I prefer afrobeats or pop or R&B.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I bungeejumped when I was 16. I don't think I would dare to do that again so I think it's pretty amazing haha.
