About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience as much as possible before I run out of money and have to get a real job

ABOUT ME

I am fairly easy going and always willing to try something new. I love traveling, seeing new places, meeting new people, and practicing my terrible Spanish. I don't know what my future holds yet, but I'm excited to find out!

PHILOSOPHY

I'll try anything twice

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couched surfed with a friend in Central Europe last year where I made some amazing friends and was inspired to try and be half the host they were to someone else, hopefully. In that regard, I have hosted in Durham and really want to try and bolster the Durham CS community (who wants to go all the way to Carrboro for a potluck?)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couch surfed with some friends in Southern Chile in 2010. It was my first time, but I was amazed at how easy and how international this organization is! I lam hoping to meet some more local couch surfers in the future while hosting travelers to Durham.

Interests

Playing frisbee, learning Spanish, trying new food, reading good books, watching college basketball, hiking, camping, sitting in the sun.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies- Anything with explosions, or zombies, or that makes me laugh.
Music- I love dancing to pop music.
Books- I read about one a week, so it depends on when you catch me. Right now I'm trying to read the Norwegian noir everyone is so excited about.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

How does a person get from Tierra del Fuego in Chile to Santiago after a massive earthquake without her traveling partners, money, or even a coat? I can answer that question.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach a few things:
Cooking- both from the Southern United States and Chile.
Frisbee- how to play or just how to throw one

I'd love to learn some new recipes!

Countries I’ve Visited

Bolivia, Canada, Jamaica, Peru

Countries I’ve Lived In

Chile
