ABOUT ME
Bonjour,
I am Kari, originally Belgian and French, but having travelled a lot around Europe to feel rather European.
I lived in Greece, Germany, studied in Scotland and lately, I have settled down in the beautiful Czech Republic. I am also a language freak and currently trying to learn Czech! I like travelling, meeting new people and remaking the world...
I like sport and hiking - I prefer spending my holiday discovering the outside world rather than tanning in an all inclusive hotel.
PHILOSOPHY
Vis ton rêve. You can achieve everything you wish if you have the will. The sky is the limit...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I made my first experience in 2009 in Pau and was completely impressed by the amazing "couchsurfing" mentality. While I was in Edinburgh I had the possibility to host CS for the first time (I hosted CS from Spain, Hungary, France, USA... - met CS from Germany, Australia)... Now I am continuing it in Prague and Paris NOW! I hope to keep each couchsurfing experience rich and unique.
I first consider Couchsurfing as an opportunity to travel and discover places through the eyes of locals, meet new people, share culture and opinions from all over the world. Another part of myself - as a host - also see Couchsurfing as a way to resist and criticize expensive hotels ad hostels, whose quality is getting more and more questionable.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I spent 10 days walking El Camino de Santiago! It was one of the most amazing trips I have even done! I am looking forward to finishing it and reaching Santiago before my 50 :)
Recently walked the Paris-Mantes : 54km in January at night! Just awesome. You learn a lot about yourself! Next challenge: semi-marathon. Paris-Saint German en Laye in May.
