ABOUT ME

I am Iris, I am a Spanish girl who was born and lives in Barcelona. I am 33 years old. It all started with a trip with some friends and I finally did it alone and I found something new, travel without anyone and at the same time without plan or organization. I got to know this web through a friend and using his profile and after that I had two pleasant experiences. Since then whenever I travel alone I try to do it in this way since the depth of sensations and experiences is far superior to the classic trip to go and return to a place superficially. Although sometimes I continue traveling in the hotel and groups of friends mode, what I really like and enriches me is this way. Many times, the relationship with people exceeds the experience of visiting only places. My freedom to make friends is limited by my enormous difficulty in the language, but I try to overcome it and I see that we are able to understand and relate in a universal way. The response I receive from people is so kind and close that they produce a purifying feeling in me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on this website because I am clearly passionate about traveling and at the same time meeting people from different parts of the world. I feel that it enriches a lot to move around new places and explore. I value much the exchange with native people as well as others from outside. The travel experience of this type is totally different from traveling with a hotel and with a classic and closed tourist plan. I am very interested in being able to live with my feet on the ground and fully in the place.
