About Me
Hi there! I grew up in NJ, but spent much of my formative adult life in Connecticut shortly after graduating from college. I first took a job in Yale as a research assistant and spent several years making numerous international friends from all over the globe and has had the opportunity to live with over 50 different people from all over. I love to cook and I love to eat, and have taught myself how to cook several different international cuisines. I love food! I love them all! And I thirst to explore new flavors as well as cook new dishes. I also love blues dancing and was a blues dance instructor at Yale. I am not a Medical assistant and a recently hired part time ski instructor, who has travelled the world to ski! Winter is def my fav season!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My income to ski interest does not exactly match, which is an understatement. I would love to continue to ski and develop my skills and technique, but unfortunately this is a very expensive sport and I currently depend on the kindness of strangers to help keep my snow sport alive. Skiing is my passion and I would love to keep it going and grow in it.
Interests
I have travelled to many places to ski, the most memorable of which is Austria for the company, international experience and ambience, but the best ski conditions, imho, is in Colorado. I love setting up group ski trips and cooking for these trips!

Music, Movies, and Books
I have a very wide and eclectic palette for music, movies and books. I love nearly all music and usually have music playing in some form or another. I love spending time with friends watching TV and movies, and I tend to love historical fiction books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have lived with over 50 different people across the span of a few years, and have taken a keen interest in providing help and support to those who are visiting the US for the first time. I have learned so much and have experienced a great deal with all the people I've come across. To me, that is my greatest achievement, is having exposed myself to so such a wide spectrum of people.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you how to ski! I love introducing someone new to snow sports, and seeing that flicker of, "Oh YES! I love it!".
I can teach you how to cook, or cook for you, because I love introduce new cultures and cuisines to everyone who is open to it!
I can teach you how to blues dance or just dance with you, because its when you dance that you can connect with someone, and be free to be yourself!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share my experience, my support and extend my help to keep the place clean, and to accompany you to wherever your heart desires, whether it be a night in with a home cooked meal I can provide, or to take you out and explore the landscape and town!
