ABOUT ME
I'm an international-minded Finn, still at uni, my home university being in Finland but currently exploring what Zagreb has to offer (=exchange). Interested in a lot of things on this earth, and even outside it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
A friend convinced me to join when I was leaving for a Balkan trip in 2009. I have mostly used CS to meet people both in Finland and while travelling. A little surfing/hosting experience as well. So far every time meeting someone through CS has been a positive experience.
Interests
I want to understand things better: why are people the way they are and why the world is the way it is. Related to this is my strong interest in learning languages. At the moment I'm taking a course in Old-Church Slavonic, and it's super fascinating even though it's a compulsory course. There's no more space to list in my profile, but I have studied the basics of Russian, Slovene and ÃÂüÃÂðÃÂúÃÂõÃÂôÃÂþÃÂýÃâÃÂÃÂúÃÂø, too.
On a more practical level, SPORTS. I like them all, but my longer-term hobbies have been gymnastics (artistic, TeamGym, trampoline), circus, Finnish baseball, horse vaulting and tennis. Nowadays I try to keep myself in shape by doing whatever fits my schedule. During my travels I'm a lot into mountains and hiking, as it's something that is hard to do in Finland and the nature is simply cool.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Crossing Siberia by train and seeing the rails left behind continue to infinity. The incredible darkness and peace of the surroundings on a night dive. The incredible darkness and silence found in a natural cave.
Teach, Learn, Share
Gymnastics and languages for sure. The basic gymnastics skills can be used for a lot of other sports and physical activity, your imagination is the limit. I have quite a bit of experience in teaching languages (considering I'm not a professional teacher) and even more enthusiasm for that, so why not!
