Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m Esra. I am originally from the US but have been working and studying in Austria for the last five
Years, and I am currently getting my masters. I love meeting people and have recently gotten bit by the travel bug, so I’m ready to be on the move.
Currently I’m in Paris, and I’ll stay here until July.
I consider myself a “city person” because I like the energy and being social, but I would choose to be secluded in the mountains or by the sea in heartbeat. I really enjoy swimming, hiking, trying new foods, trying new desserts(!), biking, and engaging in conversation. From the weather to politics I enjoy hearing the thoughts of others.
Generally when I visit a new place I like to learn about its history and see its current vibe. I’m obsessed with food and eating and will always ask and give recs for cheap eats.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I’m looking to travel and meet new people. I was recommended CS by a lot of friends and I would really like to try out this experience. In the past year I’ve met so many people through moving/traveling and it has really been enriching.

Music, Movies, and Books
A big fan if Elena Ferrante. Also appreciate comedies like New Girl, Parks and Rec, Rick and Morty. I love all music really, but lately I’m really into soft folk/indie.
