I am a 23 year old au pair that loves traveling and learning new languages. I am currently an au pair and will be getting my Masters degree after a I've finished a year of German classes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I signed up a few years ago when I first heard of the website but I still have not had an opportunity to use it. My favorite thing about solo travel are all of the friends that I make all over the world and I would love for CS to become an extension of that.

Interests

In my spare time I look for any chance to finish a good book or take a weekend vacation to somewhere that I have not been. My newest hobby is photography so I love looking for new places to take pictures and playing with angles and editing. I really enjoy blogging and writing fiction as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:

My favorite band is Paramore who I am absolutely in love with. I have seen them in concert multiple times and I am always wearing their band merch. I'm really horrible about listening to new music since I have an ancient ipod that will not let me download new music. I like to hear what other people are listening to in hopes of finding my new favorite artist.

Movies:

I am a huge sucker for Disney films and will watch Mulan all day if I had time to. I'm also a huge fan of Angelina Jolie so any of her movies are on my favorites list. I like to go to the movies but I don't have nearly enough time to actually do that, so much like with music, I'm a little behind on current cinema.

A few movies that I watch on repeat are: Mr. and Mrs. Smith, and the Iron Man Trilogy

Books:

I like to read books that are in a series because on average I read a book a day/every other day. Reading a series allows me to live with the characters for a while. I just finished the In Death series which is about a New York City detective. I got through nearly 60 books in 3 months.

Other books that I love include: I'm currently reading the Harry Potter series in German, The Hate U Give, The Book Thief, The Giver, The Outlander Series, A Little Life, and anything by Octavia Butler.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I broke my very first bone learning how to snowboard this year. The amazing part is that I still want to snowboard next year after all of the suffering I went through.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I grew up in southern California so I love to cook Mexican food and I'm full of stories and trivia.
