About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To wander far and wide in search of.......happiness/instant gratification/cake?

ABOUT ME

Hi, I'm best described as....Rob? Pretty easygoing, love meeting new people and experiencing new things, and as low maintenance as it gets couch wise. A 1.5m x 0.5m bit of floor is sufficient:)

PHILOSOPHY

each moment new, being "in" the past and present doesn't really get u anywhere.
Also I recently read this rather lovelly quote, Neil Gaimen;

The greatest satisfaction you can obtain from life is your pleasure in producing, in your own individual way, something of value to your fellowmen. That is creative living!

When we consider that each of us has only one life to live, isn’t it rather tragic to find men and women, with brains capable of comprehending the stars and the planets, talking about the weather; men and women, with hands capable of creating works of art, using those hands only for routine tasks; men and women, capable of independent thought, using their minds as a bowling-alley for popular ideas; men and women, capable of greatness, wallowing in mediocrity; men and women, capable of self-expression, slowly dying a mental death while they babble the confused monotone of the mob?

For you, life can be a succession of glorious adventures. Or it can be a monotonous bore.

Take your choice!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

So far only by asking lovely people in New Zealand and Australia for a place to rest my weary bones, but as soon as I'm back home my couch will be open to one and all. Also plan on becoming active in CS gatherings

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Outstanding, I've just started using CS on my current adventure and I couldn't be more awe struck with it

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Making it this far?

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm interested to have a go at learning pretty much any skill going. Any knowledge I can glean about plants, agriculture, permaculture, ecosystems, conservation or sustainability I'd be especially interested in. I'm sure I could list another 100 subjects though, I love learning, teach me!

Teaching....hmmm.... I make certain types of food pretty dam well even if I do say so myself. And I do;) I know a bit about plants and gardening, but flora is such a vast subject and I'm still comparatively new to it, so much to learn I hesitate to say I could "teach" it.

Share? Everything!;)
