About Me

Co-founder of a mobile library for refugees (@refugeelibrary) in Greece. Dutch/Peruvian background. Global nomad: grew up in Peru, Costa Rica, Pakistan, the Netherlands, and have added a few more countries to the list since then ;) Looking to hear more stories, explore new places, experience diversity in as many ways as possible.

Unfortunately do not currently have a place to call my own, but will open up my home to couchsurfers as soon as I do!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I grew up travelling and cannot shake the habit. I love to get to know a place the way locals do, and to hear people's stories - what better way than couchsurfing?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Crossed the Salar de Uyuni, Bolivia -a place of indescribable beauty. It felt like walking in the clouds, or heaven, or something other-worldly.

Spent 18 months volunteering in Greece with refugees of Syrian, Kurdish, Iraqi, Afghan, Pakistani and Bangladeshi background. Met the most resilient, kind, incredible people in doing so, and as a result feel compelled to share their stories and advocate for their rights as asylum-seekers.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, France, Germany, Greece, India, Italy, Lebanon, Nepal, Panama, Scotland, Spain, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

Bangladesh, Canada, Costa Rica, Greece, Netherlands, Pakistan, Peru, United Kingdom
