About Me

CURRENT MISSION

My current mission is to attain my bachelor degree for English language and culture, find a place to live in Amsterdam and preferably get a job as a children's book illustrator or a designer of school books

ABOUT ME

I am a student of English language and culture at the University of Amsterdam (UvA) and I minor in Education.
The past six months i have been an intern at a school in Enkhuizen, teaching English.
I have a bunny called Kootje, a guinea pig called Door and a budgy called Ricky

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that you should treat people with respect and you should never treat them the way you would not want to be treated.

Personally I am not so much driven by money, but rather by having a good feeling and feeling balanced.

I am trying to live a healthier lifestyle, watching what I eat and exercising more, but i'm finding it a bit difficult.

I'm a fun-loving, go-with-the-flow kind of person.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A few years back I had a dream about a bearded mediterranean man in a grey room with light purple banners on the wall, in a press conference setting, saying that the Pope (John Paul II) had died. I woke up an thought it was a weird dream, cos I'm not catholic.

A few months afterwards the pope fell ill and people gathered in Saint Peter's square. I had a conversation with a teacher on when she thought he pope would die.
That evening after visitng my mother I went to the busstop to catch the bus. While I was waiting I folded the Bus ticket into the shape of a cross and it reminded me of the pope. I thought I hope he will pass soon, because he has suffered enough. Then the bus came round the corner and for once it was on time.
When I got home I put on the television to watch the news and there was a bearded mediteranean man in a grey room with light purple banners, who said that pope John Paul II had died that evening on the exact time, I was thinking I hope he would pass on quickly and the bus arrived. It was at that moment that I remembered my dream from months ago.
