Overview
About Me
I was born in Berlin, but my family moved to Mombasa, Kenya, when I was 8 years old. I lived there for 11 years and went to a British-Indian school, where I was exposed to people from various cultures. Therefore, my writing voice finds expression in different cultures, social norms and belief systems. Writing has always been my passion, and I am currently pursuing a part-time (weekend classes) undergraduate diploma in creative writing at the University of Oxford. Moreover, I was the artist in residence at the British Council Germany for my writing. And I just got selected to be a Barbican Young Poet (which is why I am relocating to London).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am on CouchSurfing because of late I have been asking more for help, which is something that I always ashamed of doing. Yet, since I have been asking more I have been receiving more and giving more as well. I believe in community and helping one another out as humans.
