Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Firstly I am here because I like meeting foreigner, it's just very interesting to know someone from another culture and keep the contact with during years.
Then it's because it's allow me to practice my English or Portuguese.

Nowadays, with the globalization, it's a must to have contact and know people from others cultures.
The question is why not be on Couchsurfing or something similar.
