About Me

Me:
I don't think of myself as a special being but rather a bipedal mammal who tries to be ok with the impermenance of life and seeks to be happy. I try to understand people and other species and feel compasionate about their wellbeing and their causes. I think there is much for me to understand about the world so I want to travel and meet new challenges .

Related to Couchsurfing:
I have experience with roommates and flatmates. I know how important is to have personal space, being clean and considerate. I tend to keep to myself but not shy to meet people and hang out. I like having good communication when it comes to public relations so I am easy to talk to and meet :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couchsurfing is a very interesting concept and innovative. I like the idea of being able to meet local people and it is very humbling to be helped by them. Having a place to stay while travelling is very important and getting to know the city too, so what better way to do it by joining to Couchsurfing. So I am excited to make new experiences and meet new friends :)

Interests

Besides losing myself in thought, my other hobbies are to be a part-time artist. I take pleasure of remembering people's faces and draw imaginary lines to recreate silhouettes. I love the smell of a new page of a drawing book; or the sound a wooden pencil makes when I churn it in the pencil sharpener; or when I completely fill a shape with color. Because pleasures like these can be ephemeral and transient, it is best to enjoy them at present and to view them as what they really are. And so that's how I carry my body around this earth and trying to enjoy every bit I can to whatever activity I do.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
I have multiple taste across the board but so far I have been liking 80's retro music. This includes but not limited to; Daryl Hall & John Oates, Journey, The Cure, Blondie, Michael Jackson, ect. and the New Wave Retro scene like; Com Truise, Lazerhawk, Timecop1983, Trevor Something, etc.

Movies & Series:
Sci-fi genres are very interesting to me, for example Interstellar, Dune, Space Odyssey 2001, Stranger Things or Akira. But I also like dramas like Silver Lining, 12 years a slave, Argo, To kill a Mockingbird, Science of the Lambs, etc.
Beside that I am interested in Thrillers and comedy movies, but generally as long as it has a good story, it would be enough for me.

Books & Comics:
I've read multiple sci-fi and adventure stories like The lord of the Rings Trilogy, Game of Thrones, The Walking dead, Gantz, Dune, Ender's Game, Preacher and Starship Troopers. Although sometimes I indulged in books like , John Milton's Areopagitica, Thus Spoke Zarathustra and Beyond Good and Evil by Nietzsche, Civilization and It's Discontents by Sigmund Freud, Beyond Good,The Nature of Things by Lucretius and even Buddhism With Out Belief by Stephen Batchelor.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Not sure if can be perceived as amazing but I came from a small town with almost no opportunities and followed a path to be a good Visual Effects Artist and I've travelled around the world working in feature films and movies and even had my name on the credits.

Teach, Learn, Share

I've had my share of physical work and technical work so I could help out around the house if needed, and if I don't know something I am keen understand. I am fluent in English and Spanish as well as being above average visual effects artist. I've studied Buddhism and very interested in animal and human welfare. I like to talk about morality, ethics, metaphysics, religion and science. So any topic could be very interesting for us to have :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to listen to people and see their perspective in life. I can share my experience of the world with them. But also I could help out if needed or if its within my ability to do so. I can also make very good Mexican food so that is a plus ;)
