About Me
Hello everyone!
I'm Estela, 24 years old. I've just finished my studies in Visual Arts, and I've been working as an independent artist.
I lived my whole life in Curitiba, a big city in the south of Brazil. I've visited USA (Boston and New York) in 2016, and lived in Hanoi, Vietnam, during 2017. My experience as a traveler is quite short, but I must say I'm really enjoying it. Getting the opportunity to know so many different things is such an amazing experience!
As I've said, I'm an artist, I really love to draw, this is my great passion, and I do it all the time. I'm an eager reader too, I consider myself a nerd, and I'm open to new adventures, whenever and wherever they take place!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really love my city, and I love sharing it with other people. I believe this unselfish way of hosting is great for getting new experiences and meeting new and interesting people.
Curitiba is a beautiful city, with a lot of places to see and things to do. It's not as famous as Rio and São Paulo, but I definitely recommend it for travelers that want to visit Brazil.
I live with my parents in the city of Curitiba. We have hosted several people already, but I've started using Couchsurfing only recently.
Also, I think you can enjoy a place much better staying with locals than in a hotel. You can learn more, share more, know more, see different things and become a better person :)

Music - indie, British and alternative rock, but I can appreciate much diverse genres!
Favorite artists: Coldplay, Keane, The Killers, The Kooks, Arctic Monkeys, Muse, Death Cab for a Cutie, The Black Keys...
I look like a rock girl, but many times I'm enjoying really hard a Beyoncé, Shakira or 1D on my earphones :) haha
Movies - I love to watch movies. My favorite movies are fiction and fantasy movies, but I can appreciate pretty much any genre (except thriller/horror, and I'm not much into comedy too)
Favorite movies - Pride and Prejudice, The Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Disney, Marvel, animations, musicals and pretty much any sci-fi (Inception and Interstellar specially)
Series - I'm a recent costumer of Netflix, and I've learned the agony of waiting for next seasons...
Favorite series: Stranger things, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Sherlock Holmes...
Books - I love Literature, fiction and fantasy. I love the classics, Victor Hugo, Dumas, Austen, Tolkien...
Favorite books - Pride and Prejudice, The Count of Monte Cristo, Les Miserables, Metamorphosis, the Chronicles of Narnia, The Phantom of the Opera...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I traveled solo to the other side of the world, and decided to live here for nearly a year!
I'm working hard to make a living out of my art, and I'm really proud of myself (it takes a lot of courage!)
Teach, Learn, Share
Making an acquaintance is already a big sharing experience. My guests must always be treated as friends. I can teach you whatever you want to learn, and I'll learn whatever you want to teach me! :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I do my best to be a good guest. I can share any experience or knowledge I have, and company of course! I'm very clean and organized, and if I'm staying at someone's place for a longer time, I'd love to cook my favorite Brazilian sweet for them! I can also help with housekeeping, etc.
And though I can't promise anything (it depends on time, material and inspiration) I'm very found of giving my art as a gift, specially to those wonderful people who host, talk and take car of me (^w^)
