About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"Make a wish, take a risk, take a chance, make a change."

ABOUT ME

Hi! Estelle here!

I am said to be an easygoing, open-minded and considerate person. You can have a look at my references, I guess it would be more accurate than a "me,myself and I" monologue.

I know my passeport recognizes me as "French", however my ideal world is a based on peace, mutual understanding and without boundary, visa, passeport. Obviously, this is an easy thing to say when 'the big lottery' granted me with a Schengen visa for life. Anyway, I'm still young and positive. I believe the unchangeable can change if we - people - really wants it. CS is one of the best example that this is worth trying to make this utopia come true. It is also the best way of
- mixing with many different kind of people from anywhere
- sharing
- discovering on my own or with fellows as many different countries as it is physically possible in a lifetime. It also permits knowing a bit more about myself by learning about and with others.

To host or be hosted, you just found the good tip - Have a go! I promise I am not a leech nor a sloth. :)

NB. DISCLAIMER : while traveling I am using my mobile to send Couch requests and create public trips that I copy/paste from previous trips.
Don't take this as a lack of reliability, it is just a matter of time and convenience (I am not a big fan of technology and technology is not a big fan of me either !). I do properly read profiles and answer all messages :).

PHILOSOPHY

Any experience is worth being experienced.
"Hakuna Matata" has ruled my last 20 years =)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Living at a landowners absolutely unconvertible to CS philosophy, I surf more than I can actually host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Until 2013, I used to live in a CRAZY flatesharing in Strasbourg where we have been hosting loads of people (from many different countries, many different character traits :
Argentinians, Lybians, Hungarians, Americans, Australians, Chineses, Canadians, Japaneses, Germans, Estonians, Slovenian... Once, we had 14 surfers on the same night, our living room had the capacity of an hostel with a massive cafeteria as we were also used to cooking impressive dinners for our guests.

In 3 years, we hosted a hundred of people, and we never had any bad experience. I afterwards decided to visit a substantial part of Russia, Poland, Western Balkans, and South Caucasus - having only recourse to Couch surfing. Again, I met people/friends who literally made my stay!

This all made me really positive about CS and basically about human nature.

Interests

Interests, movies, music, books : What about dealing with this in person ?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't get the point of this question.
Spill a potatoe can be an AMAZING thing to do if you do it when proper conditions are met :p
Watch out though, potatoe dissection as a hobby is highly contagious!
