I'm Estelle! Currently a student in NZ. My name means star, which is cool, because I love stars. I don't study astronomy, but I do study philosophy, so deep philosophical convos under the stars are my sorta thing. I also study psychology, because I love people, which is ironic for an introvert. But being an introvert also makes me a good listener - I love hearing people's stories. Everyone is fascinating! I'm friendly and chilled out too.

Sadly I'm not travelling as of yet, but I made a profile on this website because I am super keen to backpack around the globe some day, hopefully in the not too distant future.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am extremely passionate about travelling the world. While I have this one life, I want to get out there and have meaningful experiences. I am passionate about meeting good people and having good times. I believe being on Couchsurfing is an awesome way to do that. I don't think staying in hotels encourages travellers to cherish the true culture of the places they visit. Travelling somewhere is the opportunity to immerse oneself fully in the beauty of wherever they are. That includes meeting locals and hearing about their side of life, seeing the sights, trying new foods, all that awesome jazz.

I did an Outward Bound classic course back in Feb 2017. It's one of the most incredible experiences I've had, and I conquered things I never thought I could do.
