⚜️ Living near Florence

❌ I can't accommodate travelers because I don't have a right place, but I will be happy to meet you to drink a coffee ☕️ or to have dinner together.

From 🇮🇹 to 🌍

When I was born, it was a friday night rain ☔️ . From a cot in the gardens of Rome, I arrived in Sicily when I had just turned three. And for three years, I lived with my mother and my father in the little maternal grandmother's house.
Pagliara has always been a magical country in Sicily, ancient, hidden deep in the mountains that during the summer smell of prickly pears, and during the winter smell of fireplaces and wood smoke.
From Rome to Pagliara, dreams change.
At the age of six years, with a little sister as a friend, I moved to Messina, a port city of three hundred thousand souls. In this small and simple town, I attended school, I loved for the first time, I dreamed, I wrote, I lived. And right here, after a sister, I have been lucky enough to also have a little brother. A big big big family 😂.

From Sicily, cause of the work of my mother, we moved to Tuscany, in the beautiful artistic town called Lucca, where I graduated from high school and where I lived one year with my mom, bro and sister.
Unfortunately, my father remained in Sicily because he was a military, and very often he was traveling in the Middle East during peace missions. For 12 long years, my father has served this country and he was a great military as well as a great daddy.
From my father, I learned a lot of things: I still remember when he was leaving and I stood looking at him from the front door with the hope of soon embrace him. And from my mother, I learned that a woman can have a lot of strength when life becomes difficult and silent.

Currently, for 4 years, I live in Prato, a small industrial town in the heart of Tuscany a 20-minute train ride from the beautiful Florence.
I have decided to continue to live in Tuscany, after another long period spent in Sicily with my father, my sister and my brother while my mother worked to northern Italy, because I wanted to study at university.
In Sicily, unfortunately, I did not see my future, I could not build a proper road. In the end, my family decided to definitely leave Sicily to come to live in Tuscany.
Life here is very different. Time is running fast, people run fast, the days are hectic, winter is cold and summer is wet; the sun is shy, the rain is extroverted, the smiles were frosty at times, the coats are made of wool.
But at the same time we have many possibilities: my mother is a happy teacher, my father is retired and is a desperate househusband (😂😂😂), my sister is a student of aesthetics, my brother is almost an adult and I will take my degree in Humanities for Communication and Journalism.
Besides studying, I am always a writer and a travel-lover. I also interested in anti-terrorism, cultural anthropology and sociology, poetry, history of ancient peoples, the Middle East, Near East and Asia.
The next academic step is to specialize in Oriental Sciences to better study the peoples of the Middle and Near East.
If you would like to know more, ask me, please!!! I will be here for you...😁

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

If you read my interests, you'll understand why I decided to sign up on this website.
My only goal is to travel to know new people, new cultures, new ways of living, to dream, to eat and to organize the future. I tell my readers to each country visited, every known person, of each food eaten, each photographed landscape.
You have an important role in this great desire, because you will be the protagonist of my discovery and my tale.
Thanks to your help. I can appreciate your culture and tell others about the beauty of your country.
Couchsurfing is an incredible site because hospitality is the purest form of travel. No traveler should be forced to pay huge sums to be able to see the world. Of course, no tourist trips. The hospitality allows travelers to get in touch with the true soul of the culture of the peoples of the world.
The real travelers should use this site. The hospitality of couchsurfing is the true rediscovery of giving without receiving.

Interests

During my long journey, I have learned to listen to my heart using the mind, reason and rationality. In this perfect and harmonious framework, I have developed important literary qualities that have convinced me to improve my style and my writing. And while I I increased my love for writing, a passion for non-tourist travel was born and developed with great fury.
So, I'm a writer, dreamer.
Every day, I'm improving my cultural background with the desire to create a business enterprise to help the consumer to live responsible travel with zero impact.
A travel consumer who can understand, know, discover and appreciate the culture of the countries that he visits.
One day, not far away, I can give to travelers a concrete possibility to enjoy their trip as a great personal growth experience.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most incredible thing I've done in my life was to start studying at the university.
Italy is a wonderful country that sometimes convince young people not to invest time and money in training, because the economic crisis is destroying jobs and dreams. Instead, I have invested all my strength to dream of a different future, to dream of the perfect job.
In every part of the world, young people should believe in school and university education, because "culture" is the only reliable weapon that man possesses against hatred and regression.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are learning the Italian language, I can help you to improve your skills: and you can help me to improve my English and to learn new languages.
And if you decide to learn how to cook some typical Italian dish, I will be happy to tell you some secret and some original recipe of Sicily.
My dream is to share with you the daily life of your country, learning about your culture, learning to appreciate your language and your way of living life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can offer you super good lunches and dinners "made in Italy", because I'm an amazing cook. But I can also offer you my sympathy, my good mood, beautiful walks and lots of company; and if you want, I can certainly bring some gift from Italy.
