Overview
About Me
I am Senior at Arizona State University and living in Tempe. My past year was spent traveling South America and it could not have been a better experience. I am back in Phoenix until I have completed my degree and hopefully will continue my travels once I have done so.
I had some awesome experiences couch surfing abroad and I am happy to return the favor to any current travelers looking for a place to stay.
My current status is: full-time student with a part-time job. I study Conservation Bio-Ecology and Public health/Public Policy and any extra time I have goes into saving money for my next trip.
Besides that, I do take time for myself throughout the week to hike, exercise, visit friends/family or take day trips up north. Cooking Breakfast/Dinner are as much of a priority for me as school or breathing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Happy to help out anyone that has the courage to make things happen for themselves. Traveling on a budget is admirable and I would be excited at the chance to be a part of someone else's adventure.
A few of my favorite backpacking memories would not have happened without the help of some awesome couch surfer hosts. While I have the chance, I'd love to return the favor!
Interests
My interests range depending on my level of free time.
When school is in session I spend my personal time: Reading, Hiking, Climbing, Visiting friends, cooking, occasional outings to the bars, day trips and relaxing outdoors. I prefer to eat most of my meals outside on our patio and I attend as many shows/concerts I can.
When my life involves nothing but free time and zero obligations, my interests are the same but on a larger scale: Festivals, Road trips, Camping trips, Backpacking, Rock Climbing and anything involving long-term traveling.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: My life can pretty much be chronologically explained through the various genres of music I have phased through. Those include: Rock (most styles excluding Punk), Alternative, American-folk, Indie folk, essentially all folk, Hip-hop (very different from rap), Electronic (college phase although still appreciated on a certain level), Reggae, and even some good ol fashioned country (Excluding all albums past 2007).
Currently I prefer Indie folk/rock and blues.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Forced six of my closest friends into a cramped van and drove 28 hours across the country to make it to my favorite Music Festival in Tennessee-Bonnaroo.
Hitchhiked my way for 3 days in a Semi-Automatic van carrying chocolate, through the Atacama Desert in Chile when I missed the bus and ran out of money.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have been collecting books for as long as I've been able to read and I have no qualms with giving them away.
I am not much of a baker, however, I have mastered the art of one dessert. My Dark Chocolate-Peanutbutter-Oatmeal cookies have become my only leverage when cutting deals with my friends and I will happily bake them at any opportunity.
As for teaching, I would love to take anyone climbing or hiking. I grew up in Arizona and have spent the larger portion of my life familiarizing myself with all aspects of it. I am a true desert child and very proud of my home. Other than that I hope through conversation you may leave having learned something new or interesting.
