About Me

I am a 5th year medical student of the University College Hospital, University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Nigeria. I love to dance, write, listen to music, travel, network, research, and volunteer. I love to meet up with locals in every country I visit. I live my life chasing the setting sun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling and meeting new and smart people, especially locals, is my greatest hobby. I don't want the regular hotel and hostel check-in and check-out. I want to see beautiful cities from the eyes of locals. I want to talk about music with them, dance to a few songs (or maybe a lot) with them, critic restaurants, have them in tons of my photos and maybe cry a little when departing because I will miss them a whole bunch. Okay, let me stop talking now. You must have figured out that I am amazing already *winks*

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite book is the Purple Hibiscus by Chimmanda Adiche Ngozi, an avid Nigerian writer (seriously, you should check this book out).

My favorite movie is Legend of the Seeker (don't tell me you have never heard of this record breaking movie)

I can't pick just one favorite song because I love lots of musical genres but let's just say Marina and the Diamond's Savages, Taylor Swift's All Too Well and Nicki Minaj's All Things Go (Okay, that's more than one but I am not sorry)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I jumped off a moving motorbike some time last year. The rider could have been a kidnapper, rapist or armed robber but I didn't wait to find out. Immediately he took a strange dark route and refused my humble plea for him to stop me with a promise to shoot me if I screamed, I took a "leap of faith" off the bike without caring if I would survive the landing on a cold tarred road.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook really amazing local Nigerian cuisines and I can teach my hosts how to move like those talented Nigerian artists on TV. I know all the reigning dance steps (no jokes). Also, I can recommend tons of quality music from all genres with my hosts.

Professionally, I can share skills like Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, Budget Creation etc. with hosts who are willing to learn.
