Overview
About Me
I'm 28 (teenager behavior left behind years ago), woman (even if asked I rather prefer to say I am genetically XX), social-democrat (libertarian when I am pissed of), a bad cooker (always putting too much curry and absolutely forgetting salt), a weekly-cinemagoer (Haneke's fan) and an awful singer. A solo traveler. A cat lady. A frolicker.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
It helps me to strike the perfect socializing balance during my stay overseas. As a solo traveler, I tend to alternate between CS and hotel/hostel stays. CS enables to bond with the people with whom I stay and hotels provide for the quiet I sometimes need. This means that you would not normally receive a CS request from me unless I am looking forward to figure out who you are, how you interact with your town or simply I find you a peculiar character :)
As much as in any other life aspect, I never respond to CS' requests coming from rude, and/or dishonest people. Particularly, I don't respond to: people seeking free accommodation but pretending otherwise; people seeking sex and pretending (or not) otherwise; and finally, people who does not address me by my name.
For those, i have a word: Insult other peoples' intelligence is UNCOOL
Also if you are prejudiced against women, religious people, minorities or any combination thereof, I am not interested in meeting you. Like at all.

Music, Movies, and Books
Long. So the current ones:
- I am listening Mercedes Sosa in [re]play.
- I just went to Taxi Teheran -but I have not been windblown.
- I can't stop reading "We need to talk about Kevin" (forget the film, read the book!)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I guess I have some, but women are not taught to show accomplishment publicly. Dammed.
Teach, Learn, Share
I don't excel at the real good, old-school hosting qualities of cooking and playing an instrument. I would make a miserable Geisha.
I guess i can share tonnes of useless knowledge about the middle east, somewhat useful knowledge around politics and feminism. I dance but I am an awful dancer - you can have fun at my expenses (but i prefer you have fun with me)
What I Can Share with Hosts
The obvious: a couch, a smile and a (decent) breakfast.
Also a real old guide of Brussels...
