i've been coasting through most my life, going to school and working jobs that held no meaning or purpose or fulfillment in life. i've never been the sort to stand still for too long nor settle. yet, followed along society's norm, believing there was nothing else for me. well, i'm starting to make a change (haha, oh mj).
I'm an introvert thus quiet, keep to myself, observant, tolerant, respectful. i enjoy learning and exploring any place as thoroughly as possible. I love to help and be of use despite having fibromyalgia. I know how much I can handle and what to do so no need for a host to be concerned :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

the road has called and i've done my research, time to make the next step. hoping to come across some good learning experiences with people and cultures from all over. yet, first, i must start out in my own backyard before heading overseas. i'm seeking to grow more as an individual through this, to learn about myself. will you help me in this journey of self?

i have only traveled to new mexico extensively for its geological features. it is sooooo beautiful and cannot get enough of the state. i have only camped twice in my life but love how far apart it is from civilization. it's as if one is restoring their soul when there's nothing but you and nature.
i enjoy foods from various cultures, preferably india and middle eastern. since i was a child, i was fascinated with folklore, particularly from africa and native american. would like to know more.

Music, Movies, and Books

my taste in music is varied and wide. anything which catches my interest, i'll enjoy. thus far, i enjoy symphony orchestra, epic trailer music, various forms of rock, a bit of metal, opera, indie. the list goes on. scanning the mp4 player reveals my favourite band is Linkin Park and Zack Hemsey. go figure...
i love films which are complex and thought provoking, good story arc, character motivation/development. i'm not too much into mainstream films. i like to go against the flow.
as for books, i'm currently reading The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making. i highly recommend it. other than that, i read fanfiction online more than anything else.
