Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Meeting people is the best thing about travelling! I love how platforms like couchsurfing encourage international exchange

Music, Movies, and Books

Some nice movies are Dead poets society, Amelie, Lord of the rings and Good bye Lenin
Music is a hard one, because there is so much good stuff. Playing cello and double bass myself I quite enjoy listening to classical music, but I will also sing along everytime a song from Abba is on the radio
I just love reading. Some of the best books I've read so far were The Kite Runner, Anna Karenina, Jane Eyre, Momo, Pride and Prejudice and (of course!) Harry Potter

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchhiked across Canada from the west coast (Vancouver) to the east coast (Gaspesie Peninsula) and it was awesome.
Also I volunteered in a lifesharing Camphill Community for one year, where I lived and worked with people with special needs. This was a truly unique experience.
Another great experience was cycling home after doing an ERASMUS semester at the university of Oviedo, Spain. Took me through the most beautiful landscapes and made me appreciate travelling in a slow pace

I happily share some language skills, I can also teach you how to patch up a puncture on an inner tube and other bicycle related stuff in general
