We are a family living in a single family house in Heidelberg. Easy access into the town center through public transportation or bicycle. Our family consist of 5 boys (13 to 3) , a cocker spaniel "Leon" who loves to cuddle, two rabbits in the backyard who rather stay to themselves and two lively mice.

I can not accept single male couchsurfers. Female couchsurfers and couples or families only. I can accept single female Couchsurfers without references in rare circumstances. (Verifications of any appropriate sort).

If you want to come with another person please have the person send me a request as well.

Due to a negative experience I am forced to add some (rather common sense) rules.
- we are a Family. If you come to our house positive, child appropriate communication with my children is a must. If you ignore them or treat them as house pets we will send you packing. Asking them for their names is a bare minimum ( you don't have to learn them), reading them a story or just simply talking to them is a way you could make them feel comfortable around you. Remember this is their home and you will be staying in one of their rooms! We are trying to show our kids the true spirit of humanity, hospitality and non- consumerism. Making them feel inferior in their own home isn't tolerated.
- do not try to engage in non-appropriate conversations around my kids.
- a good Morning and good Night should not be too much
- please contribute to the household. It doesn't need to be by monetary things. Reading a story to the kids, walking the dog around the block, playing a board game or helping with some easy household chores would be a great contribution. Merely cleaning up after yourself only isn't contributing.
- I have five kids to feed, you are welcome to eat our food if you share as well. It can't be one sided.
- communication is the key. If you want to stay out long please communicate in advance.
- I will Not Hand out my house key. Please understand.
