About Me

I'm a passionate artist and people person, who loves learning from other people's cultures. Keen to be a CS Host when I have my own place (I currently lodge in a family home so it's not my house to share)!

I find beauty in nature, and people and enjoy expressing that through portrait art. English by upbringing but multi-lingual and multi-cultural (having grown up in France, lived in Italy for 6 months and also having an Irish father!)

Clean and easy-going, adventurous and kind. I have a strong love for social activism and have spent time volunteering with refugees. Lately I painted a portrait of our local homeless hero George and it made the BBC news.

I love music and cooking, and will happily sit for hours exchanging talk on these subjects including history and general life stories.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet cool people and learn from them about their language, cultures, life philosophies, cooking and more!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have an incredibly eclectic music taste, from Indie to Polyphia to hard metal. Anything melancholy and moving, or spiritual especially. I also love Hungarian rap despite not understanding a word! My favourite artist is probably the not widely known Marika Hackman.

Currently reading Raymond E Feist's magical word, and love anything fantasy including C.S.Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkein's works.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Volunteered on the streets of Bologna (Italy) helping victims of sex trafficking.

I also rode a motorcycle (MT07) to Italy with a pillion that was also called Esther! I got covid there and had to ship the bike back, but I learnt sooo much about myself and my limits!

Teach, Learn, Share

Qualified TEFL teacher for English.
Happy to practice speaking Italian or French with anyone wanting to learn.
Want to learn to speak and read Farsi!

What I Can Share with Hosts
