About Me

Hello people,

My name is Esther and well, what else is there to say?
I love drawing, listening to good music (good for me is a broad term, i listen to a lot of different stuff). I go surfing whenever I can. I want to start skating and learn some new sports (maybe pole dancing or tango). I read a lot, Gabriel Garcia Marquez is my absolute favorite.

I study Global Environmental and Sustainability Studies, so I guess you could say I am a hippie although I do not look like one. I live vegan most of the time but for traditional dishes I make exceptions. I am a sucker for nice ceramics. Other people collect postcards when they travel, I buy myself plates, cups, etc. I used to do a lot of horse back riding. So if I am not off riding waves or horses, I like to be in nature, a bit of forest bathing here, a bit of hiking there.

And then there are days where I just lay around, watch Netflix and documentaries and eat very good and yummy food (I cook pretty well).

Ah and my backup plan if everthing fails is to become a tattoo artist.

As of now I am in my 5th semester. I have finished two formations: I am now a certified hike guide and a yoga teacher, juhuu! I have done two internships, one in Jülich (Germany) and one in Lleida (Spain). I still love my studies but I am thinking about moving to Barcelona, the German winters are just too depressing xd

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went Australia when I was 15 and when I boarded the airplane in Abu Dhabi a warning signal started blinking; i got so freaked out, thought I had to stay at the airport, but then ... I was upgraded to Business Class. It was great! I got some premium nut mix and a menu for lunch and my food was served on real porcelain.
I hope this wasn't the last time I got an upgrade. Update: It wasn't the last time! I missed my plane from London to Stuttgart because I thought the London subway would be open the whole night ... well, warning: it isn't! So, I had to book another flight and got upgraded. My friend got upgraded too and we went to the Business and First Class Lounge in our PJ's and got stuffed with the free food while the posh people looked at us like "WTF they're doing here?".

Teach, Learn, Share

I know how to make sushi and how to cook simple mexican dishes, I can teach you but only if you are not a total lost case in the kitchen. Whatever you can teach me, I would appreciate it, I love to learn new things!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I dunno, my pleasant nature? Yes, obviously, but I will also follow any rules you have because I resepect your home and do not want to cause any trouble. I don't need any entertainment, if you want to show me things arround the neighborhood, I'm up to it, but if not, I will explore the museums, galleries and quarters by myself.
