About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a sociable person, and an eternal optimistic. I love meeting new people and doing something different every day; can't stay home doing nothing!
My biggest passion is travelling, it's in my blood: I started at age 0, and haven't stopped since. I grew up in asia and middle east until year 2000, when I moved to Spain, my mother's home country. For me, the best way of travelling is backpacking, and trying to avoid touristic places. Also, while visiting new countries I love to take pictures, and I don't mind to walk an entire day to find the best place to click.
My second passion is nature; that's why I decided to study Biology three years ago. I am currently coursing my third year in Amsterdam with an exchange programme, and couldn't be having more fun.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only had one couch surfing experience so far, and it couldn't have been better. Me and my friend decided to do a bike trip in the Netherlands, and begun in Rotterdam, where a really nice and interesting polish guy hosted us.
I am really looking forward to host people at my place and show them how amazing my country is!

Interests

Very interested in learning languages. The first one in my list is hindi, and then I'd like to improve my french and german skills. Perhaps learn arabic some day? Who knows...
I am also a big scuba diving fan. I started 5 years ago, and I am an Advanced scuba diver now. I hope to do another course soon, like under water photography or under ice scuba diving.

Music, Movies, and Books

Oh, my favourites are mafia movies, followed by Tarantino, war (historical, not american crap)and sad movies. The Godfather, Pulp Fiction,The Shawshank Redemption, The English Patient, Scar Face, and Enemy at the Gates are some of my favourites.
I like most music, especially classic rock. But musicians like Yann Tiersen, Alela Diane and groups as Arcade Fire, the XX, and most Indie are always welcome. And of course, Jazz (especially live music) is the best!
And I love biography books. The latest I've read is Frida, by Jaula Ramis. I also like spanish philosophers like Miguel de Unamuno and travel books. The best travel books I've read are 7 years in Tibet, by Heinrich Harrer and all the collection that Michael Peissel has written.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The best experience I've had so far is travelling around India. I stayed there just for a month, but did quite a lot.
I arrived in Delhi and stayed 4 days with an amazing indian family. After that, I backpacked around Varanasi, Agra (where I got sick for a couple of days), Jodhpur and Udaipur. The best part of the experience for me was talking to locals and getting lost around the cities. In Rajastan, I stayed in the Thar desert with another indian family for a couple of days. I met the oldest son in Jodhpur, and he offered me to stay at his place.
India is a country of contrasts, and is really safe to travel alone, even if you're a women. People are incredibly friendly (sometimes it's just to get some extra rupees) and the landscapes are breathtaking. A must go for adventurous ppl.
