About Me

ABOUT ME

Right now I work as a vet, mainly with milking cows and calves, as well as sheeps and goats and alpacas…
My boyfriend is a farmer and we love to discuss new ways e.g. ecological production and permaculture.

I'm open minded and like to laugh, I love to talk but can be quiet es well ;)
Freedom, honesty, helping people... are attitudes which suits me.
You can passionate me about things from nature and sports to cities, little concerts and good coffee places.
And I love conversations from jokes to dig-deep-into-the-subject.

Traveling for me is first of all meeting the people of a country, learn about their daily lifes and culture.
I love the idea of exchange of experiences, help, cultural insights, thoughts...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had a very relaxing weekend in Strasbourg/France in a nice shared-flat and visiting an alternative art exposition with my host.
In Oslo/Norway I was welcomed and immediately equipped with city map and important tourist spots, so I could "use" my afternoon in a perfect way.
In Bonito/Brazil my host welcomed me so relaxed at lunch time, we had a cold beer, conversations from cooking to politics and history, while my host made a nice italian meal - family secret ;)
In Puento Iguazu/Brazil I could join my host at his work in a hostel, meeting his nice colleagues and listening to their lifes' stories.
And in Foz do Iguacu/Brazil three Columbian guys + one amazing dog welcomed me wearm-hearted. We cooked together, visited some places, hang around (just too hot to move) and discussed human's philosophy, and danced Salsa in the evening.

...and like this it keeps going :-)
"Unfortunately" I often visit friends of mine, thus I don't do couchsurfing as often as I want to.

Music, Movies, and Books

Fantasy is amazing!
Books about psychology are capturing as well.
I think I'm quite open for everything though I prefere books and films with happy end... ;-)
Cinema I prefer the little, independent ones.
About music: I love Indie Rock, Folk, Rock, Jazz, Reggae, Latin, SingerSongwriter... always open to listen different Genres.
Best are little concerts where you can enjoy the music in tranquility and good acoustics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

driving through a dangerous snowstorm in Slovenia to help a calf to be born!
and a 2nd: it is not so amazing but I am really happy that I finally realized an old idea and created a little project to climb with refugees in Gruyère/Switzerland.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think the best way to have a great time is to enjoy little things in your every-day-life, little differences between cultures...
isnt it funny that french people eat chips BEFORE their dinner?! :D
