ABOUT ME
Hej!
I am Esther. I'm from Australia and am now living in Berlin on exchange. I have loved travelling so far because of the insight it gives into yourself and the way it forces you to reevaluate your thoughts on everything. I am scared of heights, love photography and picnics. Anything else? I love to eat.
PHILOSOPHY
Still developing. Everyone you meet and everywhere you go has a lesson to teach you, whether you realise it at the time or not.

Music, Movies, and Books
Pretty open to all genres, but I have a soft spot for Old Hollywood films, Alt-J on repeat, Paul Simon, Iggy Azalea, John Legend, Christopher Nolan films, Wes Anderson, and anything British really.
Books!
Too many. Out of Africa by Karen Blixen, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte and Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino are some of my favourites. Always open to new reading suggestions.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
As of August 2014; hiked on the Kungsleden in Lapland, Sweden. Saw the world from another perspective and found the joy that comes from living out of a backpack.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can talk about language, dialects and sociolinguistics for hours, make excellent banana pancakes and am always keen for an adventure.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Hopefully a not too overwhelming accent and a love for food.
Countries I’ve Visited
Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, France, Greece, India, Montenegro, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, Spain, Sri Lanka, United Kingdom
Countries I’ve Lived In
Australia, Germany, Sweden
