Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I couchsurfed when I first moved to France, and I found CS was a fantastic base of where to start. Not only did I explore the city as a local, but I also found music groups to play with and made friends who helped me set up my life!
I am travelling now so am looking for places to stay and fun things to do with locals and other travellers!

Interests

I play trumpet, guitar and sing...
I loooove camping. The swag is one of my favourite things about Australia! I spent the past winter in the Kimberley working as a tour host for an overland camping tour company. Cooking over fires, hiking, swimming and learning about the area and sleeping every night under the stars in my swag. It was incredible.
I also like taking photos, being in and around the ocean, hiking, mountain biking, and swimming anywhere that doesn't contain chlorine...!
I love to meet people and hang out, go to interesting places with them and hear stories and learn how other people live.

I pretty much like all kinds of music I love the Cat Empire, Buena Vista, Jeff Buckley, Eddie Vedder/Pearl Jam, Blur, Them Crooked Vultures, Nina Simone, Miles Davis, John Coltrane (and the rest), Mahler, Mozart, Debussy, Piazolla, Steppenwolf, The Kinks, the list goes on...
Films..Guy Ritchie, Tarrentino, Disney Pixar (Monsters Inc is a favourite), The Big Lebowski, RomComs in the weak moments...!
I like musician's biographies..something not so hard to read but makes you think.
Currently reading Papillon - can't put it down!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've bungee jumped, skydived, licked sea anemones, scuba dived, climbed a glacier, and seen the most beautiful sunsets, but still the most amazing thing I ever saw was a friend lick his own elbow.
