Hi there! I'm Esther, 34 years old, from the Netherlands and a full-time nomad. I work remotely as a copywriter for a nonprofit organization. Currently I have 3 weeks of vacation which I’m spending in Japan.

I have come to experience couchsurfing as the perfect way to get to know a place from a local's perspective and to meet new people. I believe everyone is on their own journey and has something to teach us. I am open to anything and looking forward to meeting new people and experiencing other cultures. In my 5 years of living as a nomad I’ve lived in and traveled to Mexico, USA, Panama, Indonesia, Thailand, India, Nepal, Costa Rica, Scandinavia, Vietnam and more.

Besides travelling and writing I'm very passionate about music, sports, yoga and food. I also enjoy hiking, the great outdoors, adventures and exchanging stories and culture with others.

Things I can give back: cooking, skiing lessons (I'm an Austrian certified ski instructor), dance lessons (serious or silly, whatever you like ;-)), good conversations, free communications advise or text ideas, and whatever you might need I'll be happy to try and help you!

I'm hoping to make my travels even more memorable by couchsurfing. I'm hoping to meet a lot of new people that will enrich me with their stories and wisdom!

Also, if you can't host but you're up for a drink or just a walk around town, I'd love to meet up with you. I have already met a lot of amazing people through couchsurfing!

Amongst others: CSN(Y), Simon and Garfunkel, Beatles, Supertramp, Eagles, Leon Bridges, Tyler Childers, Amos Lee, Fleetwood Mac, Chris Stapleton, Shakey Graves, Justin Townes Earle, Jonathan Wilson, Nathaniel Rateliff, Leif Vollebek and many more. When I still had a house I used to have a great record player and vintage amplifier, nowadays Spotify is my best friend.

The 5 day trek I did in the Himalaya in the spring of 2018 was very memorable. It was amazing to be up high in the mountains, but it was a great test as well as we endured very bad weather. Nonetheless, it was amazing.
