About Me

Hi everyone!

I'm a 23 year old literature student currently living in Leuven, Belgium.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I absolutely love meeting new people, sharing experiences and seeing places from a local's point of view. I usually travel alone, for various reasons but most of all because I think it's a great way to meet new people. I'm very openminded, usually get along with people great and have made some amazing life lasting friends on my travels. While I usually also enjoy staying in hostels, I think couchsurfing provides a great opportunity to really connect with someone. Couchsurfing for me is definitely not just a free place to crash.

Interests

As a literature, unsuprisingly, I am an obsessive reader with a bordering on problematic book buying addiction. I also play Volleyball and am pretty into fitness lately. I'm quite outdoorsy and love to hike. Aside from that I obviously love to travel, so far I've done most of Europe, Canada, Thailand and Malaysia and can't wait to add more places to that list.

Music, Movies, and Books

Too many to name but the essentials are:
Books: Into the wild by John Krakauer, On the Road by Jack Kerouack and The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro
Music: Bon Iver, Alt-J, London Grammar, The National, Arctic Monkeys
Movies: Memento, Pulp Fiction, Perfect Sense, Captain Fantastic

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Travel through Thailand and Malaysia on my own this summer. Wasn't alone on this trip for very long, but getting on the plane on my own is still one of the most scary and amazingly exhilerating things I've ever done. Also: getting my PADI diver's license

What I Can Share with Hosts

- Travel experiences
- Good company
- endless book recommendations
- I am in by no means an amazing cook, but I love the cooking process and will gladly make you one of the very selected meals I do know how to cook!

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Croatia, Egypt, Italy, Malaysia, Thailand
