About Me

"And when we do return, it shall not be like other travelers, without being able to give one accurate idea of anything. We will know where we have gone - we will recollect what we have seen. Lakes, mountains and rivers shall not be jumbled together in our imaginations; nor when we attempt to describe any particular scene..." Elizabeth Bennet

I'm back in Austin working to save up to go right back out again. I came back inspired so I set-up my apartment to welcome like-minded travelers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I hope to spend the next few years traveling and have begun to use Work-Away as my connection around the world. What do I think so far? I'm hooked and now I want to try Couchsurfing as another way to share a connection, coffee, a beer, a dance, a meal or all if it, especially at once, and find new cities/places to visit, to photograph, to admire with awe.

Interests

What is most important to me right now is having enough film for my camera and the ability to get around on a bicycle. I'm also a craft beer bartender at home so I love trying local beers.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is a second job at times. It's important to me to listen to all new and old albums at least once. Festivals are important but more so because music photography is my truest of passions. Most recently I've been hooked on clever lyricisms in Hip-Hop and generally anything that makes you move.

Comedy is my go-to genre. Broad City, Comedy Bang Bang and Wet Hot American Summer give you kind of an idea of what makes me laugh.

As far as books go, I'm stuck on the classics right now. I'm currently reading Pride and Prejudice and I want to follow it up with One Hundred Years of Solitude.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Climbed to the top of Wayna Picchu. I almost pretended to not hear the knock on the door to go but I'm glad I did. I've also had the luck of sneaking into so many press pits. My camera and I, we're unstoppable.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Hopefully laughs and good times, a well-cooked meal and a flattering portrait for your tinder profile.
