About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be brave. Be myself. Llive in the moment.

ABOUT ME

Open-minded, easygoing, creative person who has finally stopped putting off the dream of travel and exploring the world and the people in it til I "had more money, the perfect travel partner, enough time off work..." Doing it by quiting my stressful job, getting rid of most of my stuff and my worries:~)

A man recently told me that my name meant 'brave'. I hoped travel would help me become brave and now I remember I am brave, just have to BE it.

Love people and enjoy using my career to learn about them and help them. It's amazing how much my patients and their families have taught me about how to live, and not live life.

I'm a foodie, but a locavore. Wherever I go I look for the farmers' market, see what's fresh and in season, buy some and then see if it's still edible after I've prepared it. Usually it is, then I share it.

My personal goal is to never stop learning, growing, and reaching for my full potential.

PHILOSOPHY

Live and let live

For me, all of my actions, emotions, even my thoughts emanate from the foundation one of two basic things; love or fear. It's my choice as to which one drives me.

Embracing uncertainty keeps me alive and living in the moment.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Have held the hand of many whose soul has passed from this world into the next(I believe that next will be whatever an individual expects it to be or not be) and am honored each and every time.
Saw a shooting star over the Pacific ocean while floating in a hot spring bath on a cliff in Big Sur.

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach some things about health, hospice, and the best places to visit in DC area.
Hope to learn some things about myself, the world and the people who live in it through different lands, cultures, food, religion and ways of life, by traveling, friendship and CSing.
Can share laughter, stories, cooking and enjoying good meals, the helping of others however possible, and the discovery that everyday and new encounters brings.
