ABOUT ME
If you asked my best friends about me I'm sure they would say I love to travel. I do! I recently was invited to teach English in China. 2013 is going to be an exciting year.
I'd like to think that they'd tell you how funny I can be; even though I lack the ability to sense sarcasm. I am twenty one and just about to start school at my local university, I am very excited to be one year closer to graduating! I am earning my B.A. in communication studies. This of course, brings me down to a new financial low, but I try to look at it as a new challenge to be even more frugally creative.
PHILOSOPHY
You live and you learn.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hope to participate first by surfing, I think the couch is easier to surf than the ocean.
Once I get a place of my own you bet I'm going to be hosting.
This site is a mass networking of all the fun and adventurous people of the world and makes it easier to be friends with them all? Count me in.
Interests
I love to spend time with those who I love, and that includes strangers. I am interested in the people who make this world a happier place. I love to surround myself with good vibes. Don't we all? I try to spend my downtime picking up new hobbies or acquiring some new skill, but most of the time it ends up with me on YouTube. When I am not stuck in front of the computer I love meandering the outdoors. I'm not very good at camping, but I love spending the day outdoors amongst fresh air and God's beautiful creation--our earth.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Open to all kinds. Personal favorite artists include Dr. Dog, The Knife, Grizzly Bear, Delta Spirit, Die Antwoord, Dead Man's Bones. (many were not included!)
Movies: Comedies win me over anytime. Anchorman, Ted, The Hangover, The Royal Tenenbaums, Fantastic Mr. Fox... I'm a fairly deep person.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The day I went snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef. I was 19 and I had no idea how I got myself there. I mean, I do know, but that feeling of independence was so wonderful. I've grown up in an individualistic culture, but my family tends to hold collectivistic values within the family. So, the fact that I traveled there on my own without family to hold me down was the greatest, and to be in the middle of the ocean with sea life I'd probably only get to see once? It is a feeling that is too great to describe.
Teach, Learn, Share
I am sure that anything I will try to teach you will turn into more of a learning experience for me! I know I have a hidden skill, but what it is I have yet to learn.
Not only can I learn from strangers, but they bring out things about myself that help me learn about me. I love how strangers can bring out the best in me, and qualities that I didn't even know I possessed. Everyday I learn something new.
With tangible skills...perhaps I can teach you how to clip coupons? I have basic knowledge of crocheting. Want a beanie or a scarf? Hang out with me! I do live in Southern California, so you would rarely need a scarf or beanie, but still.
