About Me

My name is Eszter. I graduated from Semmelweis University. I didn't started to work right away, instead I took part in schoolarship programs and did intership abroad to know pharmacy from different perspectives. I flew home at the breakout of the pandemic and managed to find a job that I really enjoy actually.
I spent my university years in the beautiful city of Budapest, but as a native of Veszprém, I feel, I must tell you, we are hosting Europe as the Capital of Culture in 2023.
I am really interested in cultural differences and would like to know the world with someone else's "sunglasses".

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Right now I am abroad and I would like to visit different cities around here. One day trips are cool, but I might stay a bit longer in places where there is a lot to learn.
I had my first experience with Couchsurfing in 2019 with my sister. It was a amazing and I think I might try it myself.

Interests

I used to play in an orchestra while I was at high school and university, but in the last couple of years I only had time to go to concert and couln't practice myself, which means I still have the love for music shall it be classical, folk or something from the last few decades.
I do love sports, I of course support my hometown's handball team, and also have been following figure skating since the Salt Lake City Games.

Music, Movies, and Books

1972's Academy Awards was very exciting, two of my favourite films competed against each other: The Godfather and Cabaret.
In terms of music, Tchaikovsky is my favourite composer, but if we make the circle smaller for violin concerts Mendelssohn is the winner.
Also there is a hint for the unofficial anthem of my town: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-6M1KLJHIM

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I decided to go for a pharmacy degree.
I took care of elderly people.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to say "Egészségedre" in Hungarian. Trust me, it will take a bit longer than you think now. And maybe, I have a bottle of pálinka in my backpack.
