About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to never leave paradise

ABOUT ME

I love making happy people. Anyone with a twinkle in their eye is my friend. I also love making people happy - through food, stories, volunteering, music or simple kindness.

I also have a soft spot for stories. I obsess over comics and books and can't put them down. I'm learning the ukulele. I study computers. I love cooking and making food for others. I work with computers because it gives me the means and freedom to travel and meet lots of interesting people. I love to explore.

PHILOSOPHY

Morals are what you have experienced for yourself and decided is right or wrong, not what others have told you.

This itself is a reason to travel and experience as much of the world as possible.

If you're not happy there is always something you can do to change that.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met my first couch surfer on a train in Israel. We played cards and talked for an hour. I was 16. Since then I've been waiting until I had the opportunity to travel myself and meet more great people!

I've met some wonderful people in Japan for coffee and a drink who have shown me around and given me insight into local culture.

In israel I went to a CS cooking lesson, hosting a big beach party and met some really interesting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to read anything and everything: Plays, Comics, Manga and even Books!

I actively listen to Rock, Ska, Alt. and Indie music but I'll give anything a shot and like most things.

My favorite authors are Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. I'm also into Isaac Aasimov, Orson Scott Card (particularly the Tales of Alvin Maker), Jules Verne and general fantasy/scifi books. Historical fiction and slice of life stories are also pretty cool Shogun by James Clavol and Siddhartha by Herman Hesse I found very interesting.

I read an extroardinary amount of webcomics and manga online/ On the comic side some of my favorites are: Johnny Wander, Dresden Codak, Rice Boy, SMBC, Dominic Deegan, Girl Genius, Order of the Stick, Manly Guys Doing Manly Things, Girls with Slingshots, Goblins Comic, Gunnerkrigg Court, Nerf This, Pictures for Sad Children, QC comics, Allan, Tiny Kitten Teeth, Something Positive, Templar AZ, Subnormality, Vibe, paranatural, namesake, and XKCD

On the Manga side: Bakuman, Psyren, Great Teacher Onizuka, Historie, Bartender, Magi, Gurren Lagann, Bambino!, Silver Spoon and many more!

Some bands I like: RHCP, Coldplay, Reel Big Fish, Amanda Palmer/The Dresden Dolls, Vitamin String Orchestra, Ben Folds/The Ben Folds Five, Muse, Dave Matthews Band, Guster, Tallest Man on Earth, and Linkin Park.

I'm not so big into movies or tv. They're more of a social activity for me, like watching sports or museums.

But some movies I've liked are: Rocky Horror Picture Show, Scott Pilgrim, Whip It, District 9 and 9

I also love Board Games like: Settlers of Catan, Cards against humanity, Blockus, Space Alert, Betrayal of the House on the Hill, Love Letter, Tannhauser and more!
