We are a fun and relaxed couple who likes to live life outside of work.

Erika- I'm an ESL teacher so if you want to come visit or I'm staying with you we could work in a lesson or two if you'd like. :) I grew up traveling all over with my family- English, France, India, China, Nepal, Japan... And after high school I spent a year teaching English in Ecuador. After that, I studied International Affairs and LOVED it but I decided to teach because I think of it as service to my country. Teaching ESL is way to foster cross cultural communication and good will between immigrant and American born peoples.

Nuri- Not much to say... I also work in education but on the business-y side. I am working to build a new teacher education program.
I like to hang out with friends, drink, read and play basketball.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Erika- lived with an indigenous ecuadorian family, lived in northern maine

Nuri- met American rock/r&b/funk/soul legend James Brown about 3 years before he died, and heard him say some really crazy things

Us- Jumped off a bridge in the Andean mountains. Biked through a pitch black tunnel.
